MISSION STATEMENT

The UNITED STATES NATIONAL DEFENSE FORCE SUPPORT COMMAND is a nonprofit benevolent organization formed in 1987 to be composed of trained, experienced, motivated, patriotic retired and former members of the Armed Forces, Reserves and National Guard, as well as non veteran, concerned public spirited citizens. All members are volunteers, who have the highest degree of Patriotism, Honor and Loyalty to the organization and the senior officers that administer the programs and military command elements.

The USNDFSCOM has been providing the citizens and communities with the training and disaster preparedness education needed to prepare citizens and communities to be ready and to help others in need in emergencies or natural disasters and to combat potential local domestic terrorist threat.  It operates under the National Security Decision Directive Number 259, ordered by President Ronald Reagan in 1986.

Like the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Red Cross, and the Salvation Army, the USNDFSCOM Corporation is organized as a no militia Military-style Corps. The military chain of command is internationally recognized and is used for ease of integrating with other search & rescue and disaster organizations. The USNDFSCOM has it's own uniforms with distinct markings. It does not bear arms and does not involve itself or any member in any form of law enforcement activities.

The USNDFSCOM trains and educates it's members by way of Independent, Group or Internet courses through the Federal Emergency Management Agency and other Government Agencies that are of a Disaster Preparedness and Response nature. All courses are Free of Charge to all members and citizens in all communities.

The members of the USNDFSCOM are organized so as to relay the training they receive to the citizens of their local communities through Group Study and Seminar programs. This is a conscientious effort to help make the citizens of each community safer from all disasters and better prepared to deal with acts of terrorism. This effort will in the long run save lives and help make the United States of America a stronger, more secure nation for all it's citizens.

The USNDFSCOM trains it's members for the purpose of lending their leadership, education, training and expertise to local authorities and First Responder elements in times of crisis in their local communities.

The USNDFSCOM is organized militarily to train volunteer members toward a goal of being ready to provide dedicated men and women to support the Active Military Forces, Reserves and NATIONAL GUARD in the war against terrorism (domestically) in (non combat) service and support missions in their local areas as a volunteer, in times of crisis, to aid military and civil authority in maintaining continuity of local and county governments, in support of the Department of Homeland Security, the Joint Anti-Terrorism Task Force, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the State Emergency Management Agencies, the Northern Command as well as other State and Federal agencies, as requested or directed by proper authority.

The USNDFSCOM strives to provide a strong nationwide veteran's recognition program.
